2-Day Adult Sailing Class

In this two-day introductory sailing class, students will learn to sail a 12-foot San Francisco Bay Pelican wooden sailboat through hands-on instruction on Richardson Bay.
Students will develop fundamental sailing skills while learning about tides, weather, and general water safety. The class will also cover basic knot tying, traditional boating terminology, an introduction to seamanship, and safe boating practices on Richardson Bay.
Designed in the Bay Area, the San Francisco Bay Pelican is a 12-foot sailboat with an unusually wide and stable hull, making it an ideal boat for beginners learning to sail in the windy waters of San Francisco Bay.
This class provides a hands-on introduction to sailing while building confidence, practical skills, and a foundation in safe boating and seamanship.
